Sliding Pull Top Access to Skis and Snowboards

The Thule 92726 universal pull top ski and snowboard carrier is designed to provide easy rooftop stowage and access for up six pairs of skis or four snowboards - or even combinations of both. Its 30" wide loading platform attaches to the load bars of existing roof racks, securely clamping down and releasing at the touch of an oversized button. Skis and boards are securely held by ultra-soft rubber arms that grip without scratching their surfaces. The one-push button mechanism of the 92726 makes it effortless to open, even when wearing gloves. Once open, the carrier also utilizes further innovative access functionality in the form of pull top telescoping arms that allow skis and boards to slide from the top of the roof to side of the car. Through this users can easily get to them, no matter what kind of vehicle the carrier is mounted on, or how tall the user is. The carrier arms also feature One-Key locks positioned just below the arm release buttons. These locks provide users with the confidence they need to leave skis and boards on the carrier while temporarily away from your vehicle, and fast single key access when they return.

Installation and Security with the SpeedLink Mounting System

As with earlier releases in Thule's product line of universal ski and snowboard carriers, the 92726 is designed to be compatible with virtually any existing roof rack, including all Thule rack systems, round bars and most factory racks. The 92726 takes ease of use and installation even further through its use of the SpeedLink mounting system. Its two carrier assemblies each have two mounting hardware pieces integrated into their lower edges. This hardware is composed of a rugged plastic bracket with a heavy-duty rubber T-strap hanging down from one end. To mount the carrier assemblies to rack load bars the plastic brackets are rotated from their inline position to a 45-degree angle to the bar. The rubber strap is then wrapped under the load bar with the T-end placed into a pocket on the opposite end of the bracket. This process is repeated on the other three spots where brackets contact load bars. Tightening knobs on the plastic brackets are then turned to secure the carrier assemblies. This hold is further secured with Thule One-Key locks built into to brackets, which secure the carrier and its held contents to the roof rack.

About Thule

Thule was founded in 1942 by the Thulin family, when Eric Thulin, a true lover of the outdoors, put the Thule name on a pike trap he designed and began to sell in Scandinavia. It wasn't long before he added other practical items to the company's portfolio. By the 1960s, the company began to concentrate on car-related products, including its first roof rack. The Thulin family sold Thule to the publicly listed company Eldon in 1979, and it has continued to grow both organically and through acquisitions ever since. The Thule Group is a world leader in providing transport solutions for an active life.

You need a board that fits you right. Boards come in all sizes, for adults and children of all agesand sizes so when you get your board, make sure it is a good fit. This way, learning how to snowboard is going to be much easier.

Snowboard works in much the same way as skiing, and the board is shaped in much the same way as a ski. For those with experience in skiing the transition should be much easier than for someone who is altogether new to the snow.

There are many types of snowboards, freestyle boards, FREERIDE boards and alpine or race boards. Beginners like them because they are easier to use than the other types of boards. The two ends of the freestyle boards are the same, so there is no front and back. This type of board is good for learning to snowboard, and for learning new tricks. Use a soft, short shoe for this type of board.

Thefree ride board is very versatile in terms of the kinds of conditions it can handle. Of course, an amateur or beginner wouldn't have much use for this facility. Many different kinds of snow and ground quality are within your reach with this type of board. It is not as short or wide as the freestyle board and it is less flexible. The free ride board goes well with soft, tall shoes that have soft bindings.

Alpine or Race boards are the kind of boards you will see being used in major competitions, or by professionals. Its thinness increases stability and makes the board pick up speed more easily, and make sharp, Fast turns more easily. The shoe that goes with a race or alpine board resembles a ski shoe, for support and control.

Be sure to keep your legs and your whole bodyrelaxed. If you tense up it is going to be hard going, and you run the risk of experiencing a dangerous fall. Keep your knees bent a little, but don't lock them. Instead, focus on keeping your legs loose to absorb the pressure of any bumps you encounter.

That way, the ride will be smooth and easy and it will not be difficult to keep your balance. Avoid the urge to tense up your legs, or you won't get that smooth ride and you are very likely to end up on the ground, which is not a good place to be. Look at the pros and see the way they do it, and you'll get a feel for the sport. This is a good way to avoid having to learn by trial and error, which can be a very painful process.

Buying The Right Size Snowboard

Buying The Right Size Snowboard

There's nothing like the exciteMent of buying a new Snowboard. The goal is to find a perfect Snowboard, one that you can have the most fun with. The trick to doing so is picking a Snowboard that is the right size for you and your riding style.

Buying The Right Size Snowboard

Snowboards that measure between your collar bone and chin are considered short boards. Jibbers like them a lot because they are light and easy to maneuver. If you like doing tricks around the mountain and/or like riding the park you might want to consider getting a short board. A short board is also the perfect size for any lighter weight person who is looking for a board to just cruse around their local mountain. If you are a lighter person and you get a board that is too big then it will be difficultto make turns with it and you might end up hating the board.

The majority of snowboarders ride boards that measure between their chin and nose. These boards are good for a wide variety of riders and riding styles. For a lighter person to snowboard in this size range could be used as a powder board. Powder board is typically longer than your regular board so it can float above the snow better. For a heavier person this size snowboarding would be used like a jib/short board. An average weight person would find this snowboard size suitable for most all terrain.

Snowboards only react to how heavy you are and not your height. If you are a heavier person you should get a board that measures at least to your mouth, but even better would be to your nose andup. If you are going to be riding in a lot of deep powder I would recomMend buying a snowboard that measures between your nose and up. You will enjoy the ride so much better. Riding through powder on a board that is not long enough can be more difficult because you constantly have to keep the nose up.

There is no secret formula on how to buy a snowboard that is perfect. Most people have or have had that one board that is/was perfect. My best friend loved this one board. She had it for like 5 seasons, each season riding over a 100 days. She finally let it go after some convincing, but still to this day has not found a board that felt as good.
